Who’s There?
A Collection of Stories
by Dimas Rio
Sometimes it’s better not knowing!
A small collection of stories that focus on innocent turned terrifying situations centering on greed and revenge. My favorite was the one focusing on limbs that move on their own – it was almost poetic in its telling. Taking innocent situations and putting a terrifying twist on them is the theme of this book, short and sweet filled with intense moments. These are short stories of greed, retribution, and torment. These are stories that take root in the minds of each character – where else can a demon truly live, thrive, and torture?
While short, these stories are entertaining and familiar but with new creatures or a twist. Well written each tale is captivating and grounded in folktales. The author, Dimas Rio is skilled as a storyteller.
The narrator, Bill Allender, gives a solid performance with a cadence that sounds almost poetic in its rhythmic deliverance. His narration is clear and concise, the words rolling off his tongue.
This collection of tales is interesting and uniquely different from most collections. It is a nice break from reality and allows the listener to step away from life and enjoy some horror.
The production and quality of this audiobook were clear and well-done. There were no issues.
