To Kill a Saint
by Michael Swiger
Narrated by: Todd A. Thompson
Intense Plot Twists and Action-Packed Thriller!
A woman is found murdered on an altar, a priest is accused of murder and has a questionable background, a best friend who is so much more, an angry son, and a new romance is brewing in this twist-filled story. Michael Swiger, the author, has created a story that will keep the listener squirming and intently listening.
Swiger creatively crafts visual images that are detailed and shocking at times, but which are perfect for the story. His character development is strong and complete. Each aspect of each character is honed and true to the story. His plotline is methodically planned out and formulated to glean the best reaction out of the listener. I could not stop listening and kept listening well into the night. To Kill a Saint is not only interesting but keeps the listener riveted to the story.
The narrator, Todd A. Thompson, gives a noteworthy performance. His narration is clear, concise, and has a rhythmical flow. I know that at times it had to be hard for him to keep his rhythm steady as the action was building and becoming more intense, but Thompson kept everything flowing smoothly and gave just enough inflection to keep the listener hooked. Each character had a distinct voice and sounded just like I would expect them.
A gripping book of murder and thrills. I look forward to hearing more tales by Michael Swiger and performances by Todd A. Thompson.
