In an apocalyptic world, Mark seeks out help for his newly paralyzed daughter. To find a skilled doctor, Mark must find entry into a medical facility that is heavily protected. His efforts are met with resistance by others fighting to stay alive. Mark is faced with several tough choices, choices that could end in death for some including mankind!
Ray Wenck, the author, weaves an engaging storyline that challenges the listener to look deep and ask themselves the hard questions. Although this is book 5 in the series, it can be a stand-alone novel as there is enough background given to satisfy a first-time listener of the series. The character development was thorough and insightful blending into the theme of the book fluidly. The dialogue further moved the storyline forward as did the interactions between characters.
The narrator, Jack de Golia, captures and projects the emotions vividly as well as the nature of each character. Jack de Golia speaks clearly and with an engaging presence transporting the listener deeper into the narrative. Utilizing his voice, de Golia delineates each character clearly, enabling the listener to effortlessly follow the narrative.
The author and narrator provide the listener with the opportunity to become immersed in the narrative and experience the intense action. Highly recommend this audiobook.
