Banks, Bankers and Dragons!

As a representative of AudioBookReviewer.com here is my review on The Dragon’s Banker written by Scott Warren and narrated by Scott Warren.

Finance, the lifeblood of any country’s beating heart and the life’s work of Sailor Kelstrom.  Sailor, a merchant banker, is more interested in investments.  A spell of misfortune leaves him scrambling to turn a profit.  He soon hears whispers about a dragon and sets forth on a journey to convert the dragon’s fortune into one that is widely accepted in the world.

I have not found a book that dives into the finance and economy as this one does.  There is quite a bit of information about the economy and economic trade within the world.  I was a bit disappointed in the lack of worldbuilding that is present.  There are quick glances into the world. There is not enough to fully imagine the world, but just enough to keep the story moving.  We learn a fair amount about Sailor, but not so much about the supporting characters.  Sailor dives deep into the finance world and we learn quite a bit about the trade.  There are plenty of quick wit moments with tongue in cheek humor.  The ending was a bit fast, with a sort of expected twist, but I would not let this deter you from checking this out.  Overall, I found this to be a good story.

Scott Warren Narrates his story.  His voice was smooth and there were no issues.  His fluctuations and changes to character voices were pleasant.

Overall, this was a good listening experience.

The audio production of this story was clear and well done, there were no issues.
