Mariano Flynn, the author, weaves an imaginative explanation of the emotions, responses, and hope one comes to experience. The use of the Shaman and the symbolic animals provides a mystical tone to the book. The story flows smoothly and logically. Flynn provides another point of view in which to look at one’s spiritual and emotional health.

The narrator, Brooks Corley, provides the voice performance for this book. His ability to capture the story and essence of each character is intuitive and smooth. He speaks clearly and with an authoritative delivery. The tone of his voice is rich and reflective of the situation/character as well. Brooks Corely was an excellent choice for this book as he made the book even more enjoyable.

An interesting book with an excellent narrator. A very short book but one worth hearing another perspective on grief and hope.
