Back home, life is unfolding such that if he were to return, he’d be arrested for fraud, bankruptcy, and more as his girlfriend slowly and deliberately ruins his life here on earth.

Daniel Wescott, the author, weaves a delightful story of a modern-day Gulliver with vivid imagery, realistic and fun dialogue, and accurate human traits. There are characters you will love and enjoy, while there are others you wish would disappear because they are so hateful and evil. Now, not mentioned before, this is a major plot twist. I mean MAJOR! It takes AI to a whole new level and the evil nature of humankind to the utmost level. Wescott delivers a fun, energetic, light-hearted tale which then takes on an evil, darkness that reminds us all that life is too short and that sometimes people are evil.

The narrator, Michael Mau did an excellent job of giving the characters unique voices and accents capturing their personalities perfectly. His pauses and different cadences dependent upon the character further enhance the enjoyment of this audiobook and tale. He speaks clearly and in an enthusiastic and engaging manner.

This is not an audiobook for young kids by any means, it is a mature book with dark themes blended with a light-hearted fun listen. The careful blending of a fun lighthearted Gulliver’s Tales with a darker theme involving double-crossing, greed-driven girlfriend and corporate big-wigs, oh, and a torturing serial killer – well, it just makes this book all the more fun!
