More than Intriguing!

A plane crash from the 1930s is discovered hidden in the Superstition Mountains. Sheriff Lance Tallbear is faced with solving a mysterious plane crash from decades before.  However, he is warned away by the CIA who advises there are national security issues involved.  Sheriff Tallbear’s past and heritage won’t let him turn a blind eye, so with his FBI friend, they go where no one wants them to go.

This is a well-crafted story that ties everything up nicely from beginning to end. Each character fits into the story nicely completing the story. The depth of each character is well created.  The plot twists add to the storyline and are not flimsy but are rather well constructed.  The author, L. D. Lauritzen has carefully woven the story, plot, and characters into a compelling story.

The narrator, Randy McCarten delivers a strong performance, further enhancing the story.  His voices were strong and powerfully performed.  He further spoke with clarity and smoothness that lulled the listener into a safe place only to be yanked out by his talented voice skills expressing the action in the story.

This is a story that the listener will find themselves fully absorbed in the book until its end.  It is provocative especially given the distrust of the government nowadays.

This book was awarded the Audiobook Reviewers Choice Award as it was found to deserve a higher than the standard five-star ranking because of the writing style and content as well as the narrator's performance.

There were no issues with the production or quality of this audiobook.
