The author, Capt. P. Jay Spivack crafts a riveting mystery involving a treasure map and treasure hunters. Of course, he doesn’t stop there. He also weaves into the storyline a vengeful cartel, a voodoo cult, a romance, and political intrigue that sets the listener on the edge of their seat throughout the story. Each piece blends into the main storyline seamlessly! All the characters are well-developed based on their role. However, the main characters have a unifying depth building a stronger connection to the listener. Spivack’s imagination and his ability to put into words a story in a vivid and rich manner is a talent!

The narrator, Edgar A. Hernandez, does a great job as well articulating and projecting the essence of each character and situation in a clear, strong voice. The different voices he uses for each character allow the listener to keep the characters straight as well as follow the storyline. His enthusiasm and energy are appropriately reflected in his cadence and delivery.

Hands down, this is without a doubt a must-hear audiobook as it has something for everyone – romance, action, adventure, suspense, and more!
