Unexpected Mystery!
Having exacted revenge on the killers of his friend and other injustices, Jud Low was looking to have some downtime. That downtime came in the shape of a pretty waitress who had just arrived in town. Pulling together a last-minute dance, Jud had the opportunity and fun of dancing with this new and captivating woman. Until she is kidnapped by the brother of the man he had killed out of revenge! This action-packed story is just getting started!
The author, John Thurmond weaves a story of revenge wild West style. The characters are well-developed with realistic dialogue. The storyline is easy to follow with a significant plot twist that takes the listener in an unexpected direction! The mystery mixed with romance and Western genre is satisfying and nostalgic.
The narrator, Brooks Corley provides the voice with a strong Western drawl and the delivery expected from a character in a Western. Corley’s deep voice is strong, versatile, and a delight to hear. His delivery is timed to reflect the laid-back style of Jud yet also identifies the other characters through the quick delivery and tonal changes that reflects their personalities. He reminds me of a younger Clint Eastwood!
This is a great Western series with a blending of mystery, romance, and more! I highly recommend this series and the narrator!
