The dialogue is authentic and keeps the storyline moving forward at a steady pace.  Each character is well-developed and consistent throughout. The plot twists are unexpected and well-executed.

The narrator, Derek Shoales, is amazing! He speaks clearly and enhances the suspense through his deliberate and meticulous delivery. His voice is rich and versatile.

This is one book in a series, which can be heard as a standalone. The authors are skilled at providing their listeners with enough background. I have heard each book from the original Enigma series to now and find them all unique, exciting, and immersive.  I very highly recommend this book, series, authors, and narrator!
