Bram Morrison, an average guy with hopes of soon becoming an astronaut just took an unexpected career turn.  After having received a phone call from a deceased friend, his curiosity is piqued – what happens after death?  Is death final or is there something more? What happens to our soul or spark when we die?  Setting out to be the skeptic, Morrison becomes driven to find answers.

C.L.R. Draeco, the author, poses a common question and carefully weaves a compelling story around it involving characters that are easy to like and understand.  Draeco takes the listener into an imaginative science-type space and engages them to think more deeply about the questions and possible answers in a creative and critical manner.  Each character is well developed, and the plot has several twists.  I was intrigued by the “plants talking” aspect of the book.  Unique and unusual!

The voice actors, each provide a clear spoken voice reflective of their character’s personality.  It is a well-done performance with each voice actor delivering their lines smoothly and clearly.

This is an intriguing book that captures the attention of the listeners.  The cover is slightly misleading as it indicates more of an “outer-space” type storyline.  However, after having heard the book, I have a much better understanding of the cover and its deeper meaning.

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook, it was clear and well produced.
