One Woman’s Life-Changing Journey: Love and Redemption!

Loving mother and wife, Autumn Marie Jensen’s life just took not one major turn but several in the course of what seemed to be a few hours. It’s not until she returns home that Autumn discovers just how long she’s been gone, the depth of the changes, and her newly discovered life goals.

The author, Glenda Norwood Petz, is a wonderful wordsmith. The storyline flows smoothly and somewhat unexpectedly, although there are a few times when the expected adds to the story. Character development is deliberate and slightly slow-paced to provide deeper insight. As her listeners, we grow with Autumn in her new awareness and life. The emotion-driven storyline is well done and captivates the listener fully. One cannot help but keep listening. The religious and supernatural tone along with the everyday humanness is vividly captured and communicated clearly.

The narrators, Lorin McCraley and Regan D. Floria give an excellent performance that further enhances the story. Their pauses and steady cadence move the story forward and give authenticity to the storyline. They worked well together. They both captured the emotional turmoil of the characters they portrayed.

My favorite part, although it shows how pathetic and easily swayed some folks can be, is the healer. People of faith come in all shapes and sizes, but this guy … well, he is unique and enjoys the attention more than he should. I enjoyed his unmasking as it was fun, it showed how healing between mother and daughter can happen, and yet it demonstrated completely how easily people need to believe in something.

I have had the pleasure of hearing other books by Petz and find this one to be just as delightful, interesting, and satisfying. The rule that life is uncertain is spelled out in this book for several of the characters in an authentic style that is easily relatable. I highly recommend this book.
