A Fresh New Werewolf Story!

Christy McCauley returns home to West Virginia after her grandmother passes away leaving the family home and everything to Christy. Claiming the family estate which is buried deep in the woods of rural August County and houses some of her fondest memories slowly becomes a nightmare. Something is hunting in the area, something big and scary with a vicious and deadly nature.  Christy must decide to stay and fight or flee.

The author McCarty Griffin weaves a preternatural story complete with a horrific monster and a town that has just begun to piece the puzzle together of a murderer on a rampage. The personalities of each character shine through and are vividly described. The action is realistic and detailed allowing the listener to slowly piece the story together only to be given new information via a plot twist.

The narrator, Sharon Huff delivers a performance that is clear and well done.  Her voice for each character is vivid and consistent throughout the story.  She kept up with the action and kept the story moving forward at a steady and quick pace.  Huff keeps the audience engaged and attentive.

From beginning to end, the story is gripping and terrifying at times.  What and who the monster winds up being are not entirely expected.  Anyone who loves horror and mystery will enjoy this book.

There were no issues with the production or quality of this audiobook.  It was well done.
