Comforting and an Easy Listen!

Life in New York City can be hectic and busy, but also very lonely even when surrounded by people. Both Emily and Tim are new to the city, very lonely, and timid. With Christmas quickly approaching the magic of the season brings Tim and Emily together unexpectedly where they find hope, love, and peace with their pasts and a new future.

Robert Valle, the author, once again captures and delivers on the magic of Christmas by highlighting the traditional and unique view of beliefs and tradition. It is a very short story but one that everyone who listens can relate to. It touches on healing, relationships, overcoming heartbreak and sorrow, as well as having faith in others and oneself. Valle’s writing style is simple yet powerful. His dialogue is down-to-earth. His characters reflect real-life situations and emotions. His writing provides hope and comfort.

The narrator, Luke de Maine not only provides unique voices for each character but also reflects the emotions of each with subtle tonal inflections. He speaks clearly and with energy reflective of the story and situations. His performance brings the story to life.

Although it is well past Christmas, this is a book for all times as a reminder that there is hope, compassion, and love.
