Thriller Filled with Intrigue and Danger!

This is the second book in the series and takes place in South America as well. This novel is filled with rich and deadly characters. A continuation of political corruption, drug lords, and more. Not only is this book filled with intrigue, and action but it contains words of wisdom.  Educational in its deep look at South America, drug lords, military, and more, you will be drawn into the book and held captive. One cannot help but think about this book long after it’s finished.  

Michael Segedy, the author, is a detailed storyteller who holds nothing back. His ability to weave a story of intrigue around corruption, drugs, politics and the military in a country where the myth seems to be close to real life is mesmerizing. Segedy takes his time-evolving his characters, building connections between the story and the listener. With each twist, and there are several, the listener is held spellbound.

The narrator, Sam Rosenthal gives life to each character.  His tone reflects the personalities of each character. The Peruvian/Spanish accent is authentic sounding and adds to the story, although at times I found it very thick and that just enriched the story further. I enjoy listening to Rosenthal.

This book comes highly recommended.
